Rent a bike
Our House is situated next to many cycling -and walking trails. It is wonderful to bike through the beautiful villages along the river Maas, and also through the spectacular National Parks as well as along the banks of the river. It is really easy to follow many, signposted cycling routes.
You will find two luxury bicycles in the house which you can rent when you make your booking, or on your arrival.

Put on your walking boots and go for a long walk along the river or maybe through one of the 5 National Parks which you will find only a stones throw away from The Joffers' House.
From ‘The Joffers’ House you can walk for instance to the picturesque village of Broekhuizen. The ferry will bring you to the other side of the river 'Maas' and 5 minutes later you arrive at the spectacular nature-reserve of ‘The Hamert’ near the delightful village of Arcen.
Here you can explore and enjoy one of the many fantastic walking-and bicycling trails. After your walk or bike-ride it’s time for lunch at the nearby typical Dutch Pancake House, ‘The Hamert!' The menu shows an enormous selection of delicious pancakes: the combination of the many different ingredients is mouth-watering! A wonderful way to end a lovely afternoon in the open!
Do you rather go for a short or long bike ride? The Joffers' House is the perfect place from which to start one of your cycling-routes; many routes pass The Joffers' House. There is plenty to choose from: cycling-routes that bring you through forests and along spectacular rose-fields, through wonderful heath and fens, along lakes and delightful country roads. You can even cross over into Germany and bike through Niederrhein’s amazing country side which is only 10 km away from ‘The Joffers’ House! Mieke, your host is more than happy to tell you about her favourite routes! And in The Joffers' House you will also find lots of info about walking-and cycling routes.
