Dear May and Mieke.
We have enjoyed a few wonderfully relaxing days in this 'home away from home'. This house is well equipped and full of thoughtful touches. It's a great base from which to tour the area.
With kind regards,
Paul, Johanna John
What can we say? We are staying for nearly a month and wish we could stay longer. Mieke is the perfect hostess. Everything is perfectly lovely. Very comfortable home-perfect! But I have said that three times. Enough! We love the garden, the countryside- excellent for relaxing. Horst is a very good shopping area for vegetables and breads etc. The Maashotel for dinner is amazing! We love the ice-cream in Arcen. The little ferryboat is fun. Bike riding and walking- all is good. Margaret and Dutch, San Diego, California, USA
This is a wonderful house and the host, Mieke, is lovely. Inside it is welcoming and friendly, there is everything you could want in terms of furnishings and equipment. The three bedrooms are all bright and airy- each has its own charm and character. There were fresh flowers in every room when we got there, even in the bedrooms. The bathroom is a lovely space, clean and bright. Downstairs- the living room is very well equipped, if you are going there is a DVD player so take some along for a rainy day, a big TV and CD player. The seating is comfy. There is a large dining room with lots of china, glasses and cutlery. The kitchen is a delight to cook in. We went to Bobbyjaanland, Phantasialand and the Movie World- all within 90 minutes travel. Horst and Venray are nice towns with good shopping but watch out for the traffic warden in Horst! Kasteeltuinen Arcen is lovely and relaxing. We also went to Duisberg Zoo- a fantastic find, an unusual collection of animals in lovely surroundings, well worth a visit and only about 45 minutes drive. We stayed with our children, one 17 and the other 12 and we all loved it. The Joffers' House and its surroundings; a truly unique find!

Delightful Joffers' House; we felt 'at home' right away. Just wonderful. The days flew by. What a lovely place to spend some time. Gabri and Maria
We thoroughly enjoyed this delightful house! It's spacious, light, tastefully decorated, and exuberates a wonderful atmosphere. We really like the layout, and the garden offers privacy which is lovely. We had a wonderful holiday in which we tasted all goodness of this Southern part of Holland! The weather was great, and we once again realise how beautiful The Netherlands is! Many thanks for this wonderful stay. At the same time we have some 'tips for trips': *shopping in Horst, Venray and Venlo *Try out the Limburg's asparagus in the local restaurants *enjoy and relax in the Thermal Baths, Arcen *drinking tea at 'Veerhuis Tante Jet', Blitterswijck *walking in 'Landgoed de Hamert', or the heath in Swolgen or along the Schuitwaters *Biking all around! Enjoy, Pieter and Mirjam
We have been delighted with the Joffers' House. It is a beautiful house which has a serene and relaxing ambience, set in a lovely village which has been very welcoming. We have enjoyed our time in the area visiting Arnhem, Nijmegen, Maastricht and lots of local towns. One of the highlights of the week has been visiting 'De Hoge Veluwe' and taking the free bikes around the cycle tracks. What an amazing scenery! Sorry to have to leave!
With kind regards, Brian, Jane, Jake and Lewis Gardner
Our second visit at The Joffers' House and it felt even more familiar then the last time. Again the area offered lots of new things 'to see and to do'. The Rosarium in Lottum was great for some purchases of new roses for our own garden. We thoroughly enjoyed our days at The Joffers' House. In a month's time we expect our first child so I am afraid we won't be able to come back as soon as we'd like to; such a pity! We like to wish all of you who will stay in the future at this wonderful House a wonderful time.
Many thanks for your hospitality!

It is an honour to be guests at 'The Joffers' House! The beautiful staircase leads to a most comfortable and beautifully decorated interior of the house. Music-enthusiasts will love the wonderful acoustics. 'The Joffers' is a House with a soul and is a great starting point for the many excursions that can be made locally. Mieke, thanks so much for all your care and assistance'.

A house of beauty. The enormous attention for detail is very impressive; what a care! The colours and objects in every room are carefully chosen and enhance each other. In short I felt very much at home.
'The Joffers': a place to rest, to enjoy and feel inspired.
Many thanks May, Mieke and Catharine. Good luck!
N.B: the paintings of 'European Makers Gallery' show to full advantage in 'The Joffers'.

We enjoyed our stay in 'The Joffers'' greatly. The House is wonderfully welcome and has a lovely patio for alfresco meals etc. This is a house one can only dream of...! Our stay here was even more special because we got 'declared' husband and wife. We are the first bride and groom to stay in this House. We also had a great time here with our friends the day before the wedding. We are absolutely sure that we will be coming back again, some day soon! Thanks,
Martijn en Nicole
